Start Eating Healthy Now

In order to maximize your weight loss efforts, you will need to start eating healthy now. You can use the 21 day fix system or MyFitness Pal to track everything that you are eating. Do make sure that you are getting enough protein, fruits, and vegetables throughout the day so that you aren’t hungry.

Drink Plenty of Water

You should be drinking at least 6 to 8 glasses of water each day. If you are unsure of how much you are actually drinking, I highly suggest getting a water bottle that measures how much your drinking or track it in an app such as MyFitnessPal. Plus, we often interrupt hungry pains for food when our body is asking for water. So next time your hungry, reach for a glass of water first.

Find Healthy Snacks to Munch On

Are you finding yourself hungry between meals? If you are hungry after drinking a full glass of water, you should find some healthy snacks to munch on. Do try to keep your snacks around 100 calories so that you have enough calories throughout the day for meal times. Here is a few ideas to get you started:

  • celery and 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
  • cucumbers
  • baby carrots
  • apple
  • 100 calories worth of almonds
  • grapes
  • bell pepper
  • cup of unbuttered/unsalted popcorn
  • dry fruit (be careful what you grab some are packed with sugar and watch your portion intake)
  • protein bar
  • string cheese
  • low-fat yogurt
  • cottage cheese
  • hard boiled egg
  • and there are countless other healthy snacks available.

Step Up your Fitness Game

Step Up your Fitness Game if you plan to lose weight before your wedding day

Now is the time to step up your fitness game if you want to maximize your weight loss efforts before your wedding day. Working out is just part of the puzzle piece when it comes to losing weight. If you can’t make it to the gym, you can even utilize your lunch break to start working out. Then when you get home from work you can use Grokker a fitness program that you can access on your computer, tablet, or smartphone. You can also search for a wide variety of workouts on YouTube.

Reduce Your Stress

I know that when I am stressed out, I often revert to stress eating which can sabotage your weight loss efforts. So next time you are feeling stressed, don’t head to the refrigerator or pantry looking for comfort. Find other ways to cope with stress. Here are a few examples of productive ways to reduce stress:

  • walking
  • cycling
  • adult coloring
  • take a hot bath
  • watch a movie
  • dive into a good book
  • use essential oils
  • listen to music and dance
  • clean your house
  • work on your wedding details
  • meditation
  • laugh with your friends
  • prayer
  • and any of your other favorite hobbies

Take a Multivitamin

Do start taking a multivitamin. You don’t even have to buy the most expensive brand to reap the benefits. Taking a multivitamin will help reduce your chances of having vitamin or mineral deficiency. Do make sure that you are attempting to get your vitamins and minerals from food sources. Do plan on taking your multivitamin in the morning with your breakfast.

Get Plenty of Sleep at Night

Aim to get 7 to 9 hours of sleep every night. Getting plenty of rest helps protect your immune system. Plus, getting plenty of sleep at night also protects you from developing other health problems like diabetes, heart disease, or other health-related problems.

I hope that these 7 tips to help you lose weight before your wedding day help you lose as much weight as possible. I hope that your wedding day is beautiful and that you remember it for the rest of your life.
