My Weight Loss Journey Week 14

I started my weight loss journey 14 weeks ago. I gained a little bit of weight this week. I was actually scared that I was going to gain a pound or two. Thankfully, I only gained .4 pounds.

My current weight is 210.

I feel like I haven’t been doing as good with my weight loss journey the last few weeks. Last week, I had lots of junk food because it was my son’s birthday. I had sweets quite a bit even though some days I didn’t go over my calorie budget. It just goes to show that the type of food that you are eating does matter.

I saw my hip doctor last week and he wanted to continue with the treatment plan. He wanted to give my new medicine a chance to work and he gave me a cortisone shot in my right hip. He said if the new medication doesn’t help, that there are a few more things that we can do. It is possible that the RA is causing my hip problems too.

I stayed on track with logging everything I ate into MyFitness Pal.

I didn’t get a chance to do my exercises last week. I really need to just schedule the time on my calendar. This week is going to be hectic too. My daughter is graduating on Thursday and we are going to the baseball game on Friday evening.

Here are my current goals for this week:

  • eat more vegetables – This is a work in progress.
  • continue my physical therapy exercises at home on days that I don’t go to physical therapy – epic fail
  • continue eating 1600 calories or less a day
  • drink more water every day – I haven’t drank very much water at all so this is still a work in progress for me.
  • continue taking 2 burpless fish oil capsules and B-12 vitamins from Nature Made

I went to my very last physical therapy appointment. I have come a long way and am pleased with my progress. Before going into therapy, I wasn’t able to do very much stuff around the house. I still have a long ways to go but the therapist was pleased with my back. As far as my hips are concerned, I have to continue to do my home exercises.

  1. I share your struggles. I weigh a few more pounds than you do and every diet just seems to be piling up more. I’m going to give meal prepping a go and see if that helps. Good luck with your journey, I’ll try and be back to follow it along with you. Thank you for sharing!
