20 Healthy Apple Smoothie Recipes
The dog days of summer are long gone and we are welcoming fall with open arms. Fall has always been one of my favorite seasons. Cooler temperatures, trees displaying pretty colors of red, orange, or yellow, pumpkins lining the shelves at the store, soups simmering on the stove top, and all the fall activities that you can do on the weekends.
Is apple picking on your fall bucket list? Apple picking is a popular fall tradition or fall bucket list item. When I lived in North Carolina, the apple orchard was a few blocks from my house and it is something that I wish that I experienced with my kids. Now that I am in Texas, it is a bit harder to find an apple orchard nearby so I get a bit jealous when I see other families enjoying the fall weather outside and picking fresh apples.
Depending on the apple orchard in your area, some farms offer corn mazes, samples of fresh apple cider, hay rides, touring the farm, petting zoos, bounce houses, fun photo props, games and best of all, picking fresh apples. Don’t forget your basket or a large pillowcase to collect plenty of apples.
Most people head to the apple orchard to grab plenty of fresh apples to make homemade applesauce, apple butter, jelly, cider, and more. Apples also are perfect for munching on or using in your favorite healthy apple desserts. Don’t forget to grab extra apples so that you can indulge in these healthy apple smoothie recipes too.
