Growing up I remember eating Watermelon on a hot summer day. My grandmother used to bring home fresh watermelon from my great grandfather’s farm. Plus, there was plenty of other fresh goodies every year too. Watermelon was always one of my favorite summer fruits and now that I am older I don’t eat it very often. We just don’t like wasting food and I refuse to pay for chopped up watermelon at the grocery store.
