45 Homemade Sugar Scrub Recipes
We love using sugar scrub because it is a natural and inexpensive way to soften, exfoliate, and revive your skin. Did you know that you can make your own homemade sugar scrub in less than 5 minutes? Several years ago, we made our very first batch of homemade sugar scrub and haven’t looked back.
Whether it is changing seasons, chemical exposure, sun exposure, natural aging, and other factors that contribute to skin damage. Over time, your skin starts looking dull and dry. While sugar isn’t good for your waist line, it is beneficial to use on your skin. Sugar is a natural humectant, source of glycolic acid, and exfoliant.
When making your sugar scrubs at home, you can use brown sugar, granulated sugar, or raw sugar (also known as turbinado sugar). Brown sugar is soft and great for using on your face; however, in certain recipes, it might affect coloring. Raw sugar is coarse and may not be ideal for using on your face especially if you have sensitive skin. We have used granulated sugar in our own DIY sugar scrub recipes and it wasn’t too harsh to use even on our faces.
